Latest report from Bob Denmarsh, relayed to us by Fran Esteban. It’s probably a stray item from the vast migrating herds of e-mail forwards, but knowing Denmarsh, he might have written this one himself.

Dateline: Washington.

The Supreme Court has thrown a monkey wrench into plans for a Nativity Scene in the United States Capital this Christmas season.

The ruling has nothing to do with separation of church and state. It’s a matter of truth in labeling.

Though the sponsors had no trouble finding enough asses to fill the stable, they have been unable to find three wise men anywhere in the vicinity of Washington DC.

The search for a virgin continues.

  1. I can assure them that both searches will be entirely fruitless, especially the one for the wise men.

  2. Are you sure? There hasn’t been much traffic in frankincense or myrrh, but Jesus Mary and Joseph has there ever been a lot of gold delivered to Blue Dog Democratic senators resisting a public option in health reform!
