The plot thickens. I knew there was trouble when the goddess Isis was invoked by Bill Clinton asking what the meaning of is is. And, although I'm not certain yet, I have reason to believe that Imhotep is an anagram for Monty Python. It's a matter of which way Steve's bird pictures are facing.

That guy's been around forever. A veritable Ahasuerus. He was definitely around shortly after the Flood at least ('Sees Ark heap'), but may go back way before then, pushing monkeys out of trees to get them started on evolution ('Ape shakers')

Coincidence, you ask? I think not, if for no other reason than in Ptolemaic Egypt the phoneme we know of as "sh" was actually pronounced like an "l". Since the rest of the letters in thi guy's name hadn't been invented yet, people spelled using pictures of cats and birds, along with the occasional trowel (used when a seer wanted to lay it on thick).
