Quote of the Week
David Shuster of MSNBC, not noted for his scintillating wit, had either a great moment or a great writer Monday night on Countdown.
Talking about arrangements for the conservative teabag protests promoted by Fox News — probably the biggest Republican idea since WIN buttons — Shuster revealed that the prime movers behind the whole publicity stunt (along with their lobbyist moneybags) were actually those old warhorses you thought had long since been stuffed and mounted — Newt Gingrich and Dick Armey. Shuster said wing nuts all over the country were being goaded to participate, then added:
“Talk about a dick army!”
