Greetings from Dr. Steve
Happy Easter. I was listening to NPR about a Jewish kid in Germany in the 30’s who got beaten up because he was Jewish and when his family escaped to England, he got beaten up because he was German. When I moved to Applewold from Cleveland in 1941 I got hit specifically because I killed Jesus. Even then I wondered what would have happened had I not.
In the window of a closed bookstore in Monterrey was a book about a guy named Sabbatai Zvi who in about 1650 declared himself to be the messiah. A Jewish guy, and many believed him, enough to warrant a book at least. Amazon has a service to try to find a copy for me.
The interest here, as you suspect, is that one of our chromosomes has a gene determining that we need a messiah. Dogs have one.
Anyway, Happy Easter.
We had some bunnies in the yard but a hawk got some. Or an owl.

For a hawk or an owl and the baby chicks back in their nests, that’s a happy Easter. For an Easter Bunny, it’s the end of a proud tradition.
