I wonder who N.C. Miller is or was? The review I capsulized here has further examples, and Cassidy says Obama's website has many policy statements along similar lines. No doubt the book, "Nudge" has many others. I wish they had coined a better name than "behavioral economics," but the approach does seem to carry the promise of possibilities for less political warfare (like the attacks on Hillary's healthcare plan in the 1990s) and more bipartisan agreement on many issues. It's simply realistic rather than ideological or bureaucratic.

Are you referring to N.C Miller's 1958 reference to "laundry list"?
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/laundry+list

Barack's frequent reference to "Change" actually refers to clothes...hence the laundry list

It's my observation that most self-help books begin with 80% build-up to a small nugget of something you already know anyway. If this economic self-help starts with just 50% actual content before degenerating into a laundry list, they are way ahead of the game.
