Why, you slap the next president in the face in a meaningless primary election.
There may not be another federal dollar go into West Virginia until the next Civil War.

Byrd orchestrated the Clinton victory?
Barack just can’t win this thing.
The left wing blogs claim this is working class white (that’s me) racism and 9 out of 10 blacks agree.
The wise generals of the Dem party have decided to ignore their weakest flank. The ONLY way the Dems can lose in NOV is by defection to McCain in swing states. Those are us Hillary supporting white racists.

Byrd was a KKK organizer, but I don’t know his tendencies on civil rights in recent years. I do know that he cand and does get huge amounts of money for every monumental project in the state that they promise to name after him. Having spent some time in West Virginia and Kentucky, I think of them as the two most bigoted states in the country (replacing Mississippi and Louisiana, which now have black majorities). And now (in November) we’re about to find out how much racism remains in the population at large. If we fail that test, the pjnishment (four more years of Bush type policies) will be severe.

PS —- Anyway, you’re not a racist. You don’t even play one on TV. And you won’t vote for McCain because he wants to drill lin the wilderness areas, overturn Roe vs. Wade, continue the Bush tax cuts for the top 1% and screw the poor and the people steered into subprime mortgages when they could have qualified for prime mortgages, and he wants to continue the Iraq war and start another one.
